Good bye Jeff Littleton

Jeff,
You taught us the father heart of God, one of the integral lessons of Christianity and now (we believe) you are truly experiencing the Father's heat in heaven.
You have brought truth and healing to a lot of us and spoke life into our lives, called out destinies and sat us on your lap. You will be greatly missed and it was an honor to have been taught by you and Diane.

Just an update

Hey

This school is really pushing me to go deeper with God and it is definitely out of my comfort zone because of different cultures, environment and I've got nothing to hold on to...

Each morning when I wake up is a reminder that this is not my bed or my home...haha...but have make lots of new friends here.

People go deeper with God, don't stay at where you are with the Father because there is so much more for each of you!

Hello all...

Thought I would contribute and give a voice this April to this blog. You know in about 2 weeks from now will be a year since each of us took that leap of faith to embark on a journey together. It has since been 2 years and 4 days to date that I've started on my very own DTS. Each passing year gets more exciting as I remember what God had done in and through me for that precious 5 months.

Well for those who have not heard, I've started work since Feb this year with a primary school as a teacher assistant. It's so far it's been great and I love it. Still completing my tons of TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) assignments. 

So not deviating further from the topic, there's so much about the word hope and how God is our hope has been coming back to me in many ways more than one. I'm organizing an evangelistic youth service back in church this month and as the organizing team prayed, we all sensed that we ought to theme it as HOPE and based it one this verse: 

"For  you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth." - Psalm 71:5

When I first saw this beautiful rainbow that got almost everyone talking, it reminded me the promises of God to Noah, following that how the outreach team saw a rainbow in Laos and also in Indonesia. I believe that this is really the hour that despite everything around us are failing and were everyone is uncertain about the future due to politically and economically instability, we can arise and shine because our hope is not in man nor in money but in Someone. 

With that rainbow which I saw a few weeks back, I felt as if God was asking me to remember His promises to me. Perhaps He is asking you the same thing. Just yesterday on my way to church, I felt to turn to the bible as the Lord lead and He showed me this verse which blew my mind because it was one of those "passover verses" that we wonder how did it get there?

"May the God of hope, fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of His Holy Spirit." - Romans 15:13

Continue to hope in Him for He is faithful. H.O.P.E = Holding onto Prayer Everyday.

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Dear all,

Just wanna drop by and say Hi to you all... Hope you all are doing great!!  

I'm doing fine...  I'm getting more used to HK life now... I'm starting to settle at my new church.  fellowship with b/s still takes some time.  I am working hard on it... trying to put aside any preconception or expectations... and my childhood experience  about church... need to put that mask off... etc. 

School is great, I like going to school, meeting with  friends... sometime, I did ask if I'm called to be a social worker... i'm not that people-oriented... but guess, studying social work is one of my dreams... and i'm fulfilling it now..haha... wait and see when placement start in Jun... I will know more by then... christians in our class has started a small group... it just started... hope we can be accountable for each other and know God more together la...

Family may still be an issue, have tried to see if I can find a counsellor i.e. someone to take care of me and get things sort out with me... haha... but as the cost is kind of high... so i'm on a waiting list for a cheaper service... have asked the Lord to be my counsellor meanwhile... currently reading a book call discovering the gift of being yourself...  trying to get in touch with my emotions more... kind of help...  still want to know God from the heart...  but I'm still very lazy... haha...

Other than Jesus' time....i reckon the desert time with moses is when one of the Most miracles happened!

4. manna from heaven

5. the bronze serpent

6. God was with them in pillar of cloud and fire

hmmm thats all i can remember from the top of my head...

So lets rejoice and not murmur!!

One Step Deeper With The Father

Has your year been focused on fulfilling 

your dreams, vision and destiny?

I pray that this year took you one step deeper

 in love with the Father and that we are looking forward 

to the coming year to take us even deeper.

Let our dreams, visions and destiny flow

 from a love relationship with our Father.

Lets also keep in mind that hard times

 do not necessarily mean bad times.

 If He takes us to the desert,

 lets learn to be desert dwellers for that season.

Getting hitched

Am pretty sure most of you know by now that Daniel and I are engaged?

We are aiming for a wedding during May labour day weekend... however finding a venue has been daunting task.

Coupled with parents demands of not being able to have the church service in the banquet hall... weird chinese traditions... special dates and timing (we have had to change the date 4 times due to this)

Well on top of that strange enough i actually miss my time outfield...

yeah imagine Miss Dettol wet-wipes missing the mission field!!

I am not sure if its the lethal combination of wedding stress and being unemployed that has caused this.

Or God has been really pulling on my heartstrings???

And yes it would be great for "all of us to keep in touch" quoting Kelvin (whom we missed on our last 2 meets) so how are you kelvin??? :)

Thats pretty much what has been happening with me in a nutshell.... should you like the juicy juicy details gimme call/sms we can MEET :)

PRAY PRAY PRAY for my new mission trip

I am going back to Tokyo, Japan. This time, I will be bringing my wife...YEAH!! and 8 other cell members (Steve's cell). Joe is going to be our spiritual director. We will helping the homeless with Tokyo YWAM. Sharing and teaching at Shinkoiwa Baptist Church (2 days retreat) and lot's of prayer walk.

Please pray that we will be sensitive to our Lord's guiding and may everything we do, only have one agenda......TO GLORIFY HIM!!! (don't start singing)
